Terms of Service

Last updated: March 24, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Already There app (“App,” “Service”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Who We Are

Already There is a voice journal and daily practice app operated by Already There (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Questions about these Terms can be directed to info@alreadythere.life.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating your account
  • Keep your sign-in credentials secure
  • Notify us immediately at info@alreadythere.life if you suspect unauthorized access

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your account secure.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Free Tier

Already There offers a free tier with core features available to all users at no charge.

Premium Subscription

Access to premium features requires a paid subscription. Current pricing and any available free trial periods are displayed in the App Store or Google Play Store listing and within the app at the time of purchase.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. Payment is charged to your App Store or Play Store account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Managing or Cancelling Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to premium features until then. We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. We will give you reasonable advance notice of any price increase. Continued use of the subscription after the price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.

5. Your Content

The journal entries, recordings, and other content you create in the App (“Your Content”) belong to you. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process Your Content solely to provide the Service — including transcription, AI-generated summaries, tags, and weekly synthesis.

We do not sell Your Content. We do not use Your Content to train AI models. Your Content is only accessible to you.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App to transmit spam, malware, or harmful content
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law

7. Account Deletion and Data Removal

How to delete your account

You can delete your account at any time, directly inside the app:

  1. Open the Already There app.
  2. Tap the profile icon (bottom-right of the tab bar).
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm when prompted.

What happens when you delete

  • Your account is deactivated immediately and all your data becomes inaccessible.
  • All journal entries, voice recordings, transcriptions, AI summaries, tags, weekly syntheses, and profile information are permanently deleted within 10 days.
  • Deletion is irreversible — data cannot be recovered after this period.

Data we do not control

Subscription and billing records are held by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) per their own data retention policies. We have no ability to delete those records on your behalf.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel your subscription separately through your App Store or Play Store account settings before or after deleting your account.

8. Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking such action except where doing so would cause harm or is not practicable.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not provide medical, therapeutic, or mental health advice — Already There is a journaling and reflection tool only.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Already There shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notice or email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
